It seems like just yesterday that I was creating TheologyOnline.com, a place for my fellow theology students and I to discuss class topics from Bob Hill's Derby School of Theology. Since that time TOL has grown into a world famous internet forum. Over the past 15 years TOL has evolved a great deal (micro evolution, not macro). TOL is one of the oldest and best known communities on the net. Yes we have had our ups and downs. TOL has seen the Preterist invasion, the Tweb defection, the gay mountain biker invasion, the attack of internet terrorists (many stayed because they liked TOL better than their own forum), and many, many other wild events. We have seen some interesting users come and go... BillyBob, Sozo, 1Way, ghost, me again, Sozo, Freak, ghost, Beanieboy, Z Man, Sozo, Zakath, wickwoman, did I mention Sozo or ghost?

January 1st is the day of the biggest event of the year on TheologyOnline.com, yes, it's the 2011 Posts of the Year awards with your host, Knight (that's me). As you know every year (since 2002) I countdown the greatest posts made on TOL every year. You may ask yourself "how are these posts picked"? Well, the picking goes something like this.... I round-up all the Post of the Day picks that I have made each year and then a team of 300 experts in every field known to man rates each post on a points system based on hundreds of factors and variables, (each score is then multiplied by .23) after that process is complete the posts are placed on a spinning wheel and monkeys throw their own fecal matter against the wheel. Posts that accumulate the most fecal matter are awarded extra points. After that process is complete I personally review the results and then throw the results into an incinerator that burns at exactly 1650 degrees Fahrenheit. Finally I rate all the post of the year candidates based on my own opinion as to which posts are the best and place them in order from best to least best.  ... [Read More]

Here is a biblical PROOF that GOD IS IN TIME and experiences change in sequence:
In the "eternal state" before the foundation of the world God the Son was not also the SON OF MAN; then He "became" flesh as "the Son of Man" and so the Son remains eternally "the Man Jesus Christ" (1 Tim 2:5).
Many theologians reject this proof that God is in time. Why? They claim that their historical-grammatical hermeneutic, that is, their primary method of interpretation, proves that God is not in time. So let's look at the relationship of God and time.
When Reading in "the Greek" about God and Time, We See that God is:
- timeless,
- in an eternal now,
- not was nor will be but is, and
- has no past
- has no future.
Of course NOT ONE of these phrases are in the Bible. They're from Plato. And they're uncritically repeated by Christians in various systematic theology textbooks.

A Church of Christ radio program airs in Denver an hour before Bob Enyart Live. On June 29, 2011, Brian from Thornton called into the Church of Christ's program presenting three lines of evidence that Bible teaching generally and Jesus in particular approve of drinking alcohol, but that to excess, it is drunkenness that is a sin. At Denver Bible Church we agree with Brian that God's Word approves of drinking wine, beer and other alcohol. First consider the warnings against drunkenness, and then the many affirmations of drinking wine.
WARNINGS of Drunkenness Affirm Alcohol: In our English Bibles the word wine occurs about 230 times. And in addition to about a dozen commands to be "sober," some form of the word “drunk” occurs more than 70 times as in Paul's list of sins including "envy, murders, drunkenness," (Gal. 5:21). Words for hard liquor also appear. The repeated scriptural warnings against drunkenness, themselves, show that God permits drinking wine. God does not prohibit overdoing that which is a sin to do.
